Truss fabrication of long span steel trusses typically results in truss profiles that are too tall for transport without special permitting. Some designs will allow for piggyback metal trusses that are field assembled. Another solution is a lightweight, mobile telescoping truss jig assembly method that produces the same truss-to –truss quality found in a plant environment. ACS and FGP have developed and patented such an assembly method. For economy and rapid ramp up this sturdy tubular steel jig will allow fast paced assembly of long and tall trusses to be flown directly from assembly to the roof rafting area or directly to the roof.
